Ellen Tullo currently holds a clinical fellowship in Geriatrics and is an Honorary Clinical Research Associate at Newcastle’s Institute for Ageing and Health.
Ellen completed her MA in History of Medicine at Newcastle University in 2006, which she studied as an intercalating medical student, winning the Pybus Prize for Outstanding Performance in the History of Medicine MA Programme along the way. An abridged version of her dissertation has been published under the title 'Plague of Icy Breath. Cholera and the Gateshead Community 1831-1832' in Gesnerus (see below).
