Resources
The Centre is further supported by
excellent Library resources. The Durham
University Library has large research
collections in History of Medicine and
in History and Philosophy of Science.
Moreover, its
Kellett Collection has a unique
collection of books and other materials
relating to early modern anatomy and
surgery.
Newcastle's Robinson Library has an
excellent research collection in History
of Medicine (especially Ancient
Medicine) and prides itself on two
special collections:
-
the
Pybus Collection , a rich
collection of historical medical
works from the 16th century onwards,
engravings, letters, portraits and
busts;
-
the
Medical Collection, a large
collection of 18th- and 19th-
century medical works.
